Die-hard fans of actor Shemar Moore know that he had an extremely close relationship with his mother, as he often posted videos and photos with her, took her on vacations and escorted her to various red carpet appearances as his date.
Since the star’s mother was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1999, the star has dedicated himself to learning as much as he can, as well as educating others, about the debilitating disease.
He’s raised significant funds through his self-described “fun, cute, silly, sexy” clothing line Baby Girl and cycles 100-miles annually for the Bike MS: Coastal Challenge.
Shemar’s mother, Marilyn Wilson-Moore, passed away on February 8th at the age of 76. He posted a series of videos to Instagram where he tearfully told his fans how he’s been coping, how special his mother was and how he plans to continue on with life now that she is gone.
The video also featured a slideshow of photos of the two throughout the years. He captioned the emotional post with this message:
“Marylin Joan Wilson-Moore, my mother, best friend, and partner in crime passed away Feb 8th at 76 years old… I miss her more than I ever thought possible and I don’t know how to do this life without her …. but I get my STRENGTH from her and I will be OK because of HER.
